Israel Police forces and a Magen David Adom team were dispatched to Tel Aviv’s Renaissance Hotel locating a 60-year-old woman’s body and a critically injured 70-year-old in one of the hotel rooms. It is suspected that the woman committed suicide and the man unsuccessfully attempted to do the same. The couple also left a note.

This morning (Tuesday), Israel Police forces and a Magen David Adom team were dispatched to the Renaissance Hotel on Tel Aviv’s HaYarkon Street after receiving a report concerning a man and a woman, who were found unconscious in their hotel room. The man was transported to Ichilov Hospital in critical condition however, the woman was pronounced dead shortly after the emergency service team arrived despite their resuscitation attempts. Investigators are currently examining the possibility that this was a suicide and an attempted suicide.

According to initial information collected by police officers at the scene of the incident, the 60-year-old woman was found dead in the hotel room without any signs of struggle or abuse. Her 70-year-old spouse was found critically injured in the bathroom with self-inflicted wounds on his body.

Israel Police detectives located a letter that the couple left behind and the contents are currently being evaluated. Based on the letter, it seems that the couple suffered from some sort of disease. The Israel Police contacted the couple’s relatives, who live in southern Israel.
