Israeli security forces have intensified their search on Friday to arrest the terrorist(s) who killed Dvir Sorek. The lifeless body of the young soldier was found at the edge of a road at the entrance to the kibbutz of Migdal Oz.

The IDF fears that the terrorist or terrorists who fled after the attack will perpetuate further attacks against Israelis. According to early reports of the investigation, three terrorists are currently being sought after in Hebron.

Dvir Sorek’s funeral took place last night in the Jewish settlement of Ofra, about 50 kilometers north of the place where his body was discovered at dawn.

According to the National Transplant Center, The soldier’s family has put in a request to donate Dvir’s organs. “If we could have asked Dvir, that’s what he would have liked,” said Yoav Sorek, Dvir’s father.

The young man was part of a special IDF program that combined religious study and military service. Dvir was kidnapped in the middle of the night while on his was on his way back to his yeshiva. His body was found six hours later by the entrance to Kibbutz Migdal Oz in the West Bank’s Gush Etzion.
