Jared Kushner, the son-in-law and special advisor to US President Donald Trump has announced that the administrations Middle East peace plan will be revealed after the Muslim holiday of Ramadan which runs from May 5th to June 4th.

Kushner gave the announcement during a meeting with a large group of ambassadors to the United States. He asked the parties present  to “keep an open mind.” However, the details of the peace plan or the exact date of its publication were not disclosed in the event.

The Washington Post reported that Trump Administration’s peace plan for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will not include the establishment of a Palestinian state. According to the report the plan promotes the provision of great economic opportunities for the Palestinians and Israeli control in the disputed territories.

It is expected that PA President Mahmoud Abbas will reject the plan.

Israel’s ambassador to the United Nation Danny Danon said “For the last 71 years the Palestinians have always said ‘no’. They choose to say ‘no’ all the time and we expect it will be the same, and after that, I don’t know what will be the role of other partners in the region.”

Next week, Abbas will travel to Egypt and then to Brussels in order to gain support for rejecting Trump’s peace plan. Sources close to Abbas said that he knows that United States is preparing to present a proposal that has no chance of achieving peace.
