The Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry responded this morning (Wednesday) to yesterday’s White House statement by saying that the Kremlin does not intend to return Crimea to Ukraine.
“We don’t intend return part of our territory,” said Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova. “Crimea is the Russian Federation’s territory.” Last night, JOL reported that White House press secretary Sean Spicer said that U.S. President Donald Trump believes that Russia needs to put an end to the violence in the area and return the Crimean Peninsula to the Ukrainian government.
