Presumed Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman left his home in the Israeli settlement of Nokdim this morning (Thursday) in order to continue the negotiation talks with the coalition that will continue until Monday at the latest, when the summer session of the Knesset is set to commence.
Last night, a source close to Lieberman estimated that the negotiation talks will end soon. “Most of the issues have already been resolved and it is important to remember that only today Netanyahu and Lieberman met and broke the ice after a difficult period of hostility between them,” said the official.
“I think we are approaching the moment of signing, the two sides understand that they need to make compromises,” added the source.
Meanwhile, Education Minister and Ha-Bayit Ha-Yehudi Chairman Naftali Bennett clarified that his political party is not interested in receiving other positions in the government. In an official announcement from Ha-Bayit Ha-Yehudi, the ministers of the party stated: “We don’t want any other position in the government other than those that we are currently holding.”
