Today (Saturday), the Tunisian Ministry of Interior announced that security authorities arrested 3 suspects of terrorist activity. The nephew of the Berlin Christmas market truck attack terrorist was among those arrested. According to the statement, the 3 are suspected for operating a terrorist cell in the country.
Meanwhile, public criticism in Germany is increasing after finding out that the suspect of the attack Anis Amri was under security surveillance in the country for 6 months. According to reports, the intelligence services were aware of Amri’s growing extremism and support of Jihad.
Yesterday, Amri was killed in a shoot-out in a suburb of Milan, Italy. Italian Interior Minister Marco Minniti stated that he was stopped during the night in a routine check. He pulled out a gun and started firing at the officers who asked him to identify himself. He was then shot and killed.

Minitti added that an officer was injured and evacuated to a hospital. “Without any doubt the person killed is Anis Amri, the man suspected in the Berlin terrorist attack,” he added.
Yesterday, ISIS released a video by the attacker in which he pledged his allegiance to ISIS’s leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
