Yesterday (Friday), White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer stated that US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will discuss the peace process, among other things.

“The President is committed to peace,” Spicer said. “That’s his goal, and I think that when the President and Prime Minister Netanyahu meet here on the 15th, that will obviously be the topic.”

The White House statement released on Thursday read: “While we don’t believe the existence of settlements is an impediment to peace, the construction of new settlements or the expansion of existing settlements beyond their current borders may not be helpful in achieving that goal.”

As reported by JOL, the statement released on Thursday said: “The Trump administration has not taken an official position on settlement activity.”
