Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has denied claims that he received gifts from two businessmen, a day after Channel 2 News revealed these allegations.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit is expected in the next few days to give police a green light to launch a criminal investigation into Netanyahu’s affairs. The Prime Minister is expected to be questioned as early as next week by a team of senior police officers.

“Every other so-called scandal so far has turned out to be nothing,” Netanyahu said, “and it’s going to be the same for the current claims as well.”
