Tonight (Sunday), Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the publications regarding the investigations against him. “Over the past several days, an orchestrated media campaign is being directed against me in an attempt to bring down the government headed by the Likud party,” he wrote on his Facebook page. “This propaganda campaign is aimed to pressure the Attorney General and other officials into prosecuting me.”
Netanyahu replied to the allegations against him regarding the Israel Hayom law and wrote that “everybody knows that I objected to the law.” He stated that he cannot go into detail due to the ongoing investigation and therefore cannot defend himself against the false accusations. “For many months, I prevented the law from coming to a vote,” he explained.
