The state memorial ceremony for terror attack victims who were murdered in Israel and abroad was held today (Monday) at Mount Herzl. Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot attended the event.
“When you guys are going and celebrating on Independence Day and on the other days of the year, look around because among the musicians who are playing in the bands and among the cashiers at the supermarket, the employees at the gas station, the professors at the universities and the judges at the courthouses, there are our dear brothers and sisters of bereaved families,” Netanyahu said.
“The victims of hostilities are a central part of our story of resurrection,” Netanyahu continued. “Dear families, I share your deep pain. I bow my head in memory of your loved ones.”
During his speech, Netanyahu criticized the Palestinian Authority and its leader Mahmoud Abbas, saying that the incitement within the Palestinian Authority directly leads to terror attacks. “They [terrorists] suck in the incitement against our nation along with their mother’s breast milk,” he said. “They are considered heroes in their society.”
“President Abbas is going to meet with Trump this week,” Netanyahu continued. “How can you talk about peace with Israel while you are funding murderers who’ve split the blood of innocent Israelis everywhere?”
