Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will undergo on Thursday evening a medical procedure to break up stones in his urinary bladder, which will require him to be under anesthesia. The Prime Minister’s Office said that Netanyahu “will be accompanied by his personal physician Dr. Tzvi Berkowitz during the procedure.”
While Netanyahu is under anesthesia, his place will be filled by Minister Ze’ev Elkin. After the procedure, Netanyahu is expected to fully return to his duties.
