Around 20 thousand people visited the various beaches along the Sea of Galilee yesterday and today (Friday), as Israelis set out to enjoy their last weekend of the summer vacation.
The rescue services at the beaches were reinforced due to the large masses of people that arrived at the Kinneret and will continue to supervise the beaches until 19:00 PM every day until the end of the month.

The Kinneret Authority stressed the importance of keeping the lake’s beaches clean and handed out garbage bags to visitors. Tomorrow, a campaign will be held at Halukim Beach whereby visitors who help collect garbage and clean up the beach will be allowed to enter for free.
