Those who are visiting Jerusalem during February may have noticed that every Monday, the city’s downtown streets get noisy and packed with people and activities. This is called “Sha’on Horef” – an annual festival whose name means both “winter time” and “winter noise.”

The events, all sponsored by the city’s Youth Authority, include music, art, dance, cooking workshops, street theater, parties, film screenings and much more. It takes place in a different part of the city every week.

The next batch of events is scheduled for February 27 on Ben Yehuda Street. Most events are free. For information about specific events, visit http://www.young-city.co.il.
