LaTraviata at Masada
La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi was first performed in Italy 160 years ago with the fabulous music from Verdi, and a captivating libretto by Piave that is based on the successful French Novel “The Lady of the Camellias”. The tragic love story and fascinating characters, with the exceptional music by Verdi, made La Traviata immensely popular and one of the most performed operas worldwide. La Traviata tells the story of Violetta Valéry, beautiful French “Courtesan” supported by lovers, in joyful Paris of the 1840’s.
