The IDF carried out a raid Wednesday evening in the West Bank to locate illegal weapons. The raid resulted in the arrest of 16 Palestinians and the confiscation of weapons, ammunition and military equipment.

On Wednesday evening, the IDF Spokesperson Unit tweeted that the IDF had carried out an operation in the village of Yatta in the West Bank, south of Hebron. The raid was aimed at locating illegal weapons within the village and resulted in the arrest of 16 Palestinians and the confiscation of a large number of weapons, ammunition, and additional military equipment.

The 16 arrested are suspected of terrorist activity and/or intent to carry out a terrorist attack. The raid follows a wave of terror in the West Bank. Tensions have heightened in the area since US President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
