The family of IDF soldier Oron Shaul said Hamas and Islamic Jihad should not be allowed to search for the missing terrorists near the Gaza border unless the captive Israelis are returned. They have asked to pressent their position before a court.

The family of missing IDF soldier Oron Shaul on Friday voiced their objection to a Supreme Court petition to allow members of Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad to reach Israel’s security perimeter near the Gaza border to conduct searches for the bodies of the missing terrorists from the IDF’s tunnel blast earlier this week.
The Shaul family said the body of Oron, as well as those of the other Israelis held in Gaza, must be returned before Israel grants the request to search near its border. They also asked to present their position before a court.
“It is inconceivable that the enemy will be allowed to get the bodies of its members unless Oron, as well as IDF officer Hadar Goldin and the other Israeli citizens held by Hamas in Gaza, are returned to Israel,” the family stated.
