Tzipi Hotovely, Israel’s Deputy Foreign Minister, spoke before parliament members from around the world who visited the West Bank and called on US President Donald Trump to move the American embassy to Jerusalem. She added that the Palestinians want to wipe Israel off the Middle East map.
Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely said Sunday that the relocation of the US embassy to Jerusalem is crucial for achieving peace.
Hotovely’s remarks were directed at US President Donald Trump, who recently said in an interview that his administration will not move the embassy until a peace plan is attempted.
“If you would really like to give peace a chance, move your embassy to Jerusalem in order to make sure that Jerusalem will never be divided; in order to make sure that Jews and Arabs can live peacefully together,” Hotovely told 25 parliament members from around the world who visited the Samaria region in the West Bank.

“Unfortunately, in the Middle East, where we live, the fact that terrorism is consistently still here is because- not because they gave up on the idea of the peace process- but unfortunately, it’s because they would like to remove Israel from the map of the Middle East,” Hotovely added.
Nir Barkat, the mayor of Jerusalem, said he is certain that Trump will carry out his campaign promise to move the embassy from Tel Aviv. “That is the right thing to do in every possible way,” Barkat said.
