Israel on Thursday evening attacked a Hezbollah military base in Syria, a war monitor has said. It did not specify how many members of the terrorist group, if any, have been hurt.
The Syrian media reported on Thursday that S-200 missiles had been fired toward the IAF jets. One of the missiles reportedly landed near the border between Syria and Lebanon.
A Syrian military official was quoted by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) as saying that Israel had struck Iranian bases manned by Hezbollah. He added that Syria’s air defense systems had intercepted the Israeli missiles.
The IDF has not commented on these reports. A spokesperson for the Pentagon said neither the US nor its allies had attacked Syria.
