Thousands marched in Tehran on Saturday to mark the anniversary of the 1979 takeover of the US embassy, chanting anti-US and anti-Israeli slogans.
According to reports, some marchers held signs featuring derogatory caricatures of US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Iran also displayed a 2000 km-range ballistic missile during the march.
The increasing tension between Iran and the West reached a peak last week when the US House of Representatives voted nearly unanimously to impose new sanctions on Iran for its development of ballistic missiles.
The vote came two weeks after US President Donald Trump’s decision to decertify the Iranian nuclear deal, as part of Washington’s efforts to toughen its policy toward Iran without undermining the agreement.
