In a special address issued in honor of Hanukkah, Secretary General of the Jordanian Opposition Coalition Mudar Zahran wishes all Israelis a happy Hanukkah and stresses that while the holiday seeks light and enlightenment, he seeks the same for his people in Jordan: “Possibly around the time of Hanukkah next year, there is going to be a new chapter between Jordan and Israel, where peace, prosperity and love will rule.”

In honor of Hanukkah, Secretary General of the Jordanian Opposition Coalition has wished all Israelis a happy Hanukkah: “On behalf of Jordan’s Shadow government and on behalf of the Jordanian Opposition Coalition, we would like to wish our Israeli neighbors and friends a happy Hanukkah. This Hanukkah comes at a very difficult time, a time of unrest and insecurity for the entire region. While we understand that Hanukkah is the Festival of Light and a celebration of enlightenment, we would like to wish all in Israel from Jordan a time of enlightenment, happiness and safety. And enlightenment is what we seek for our country, Jordan.”

Mudar Zahran hinted in his Hanukkah message that he believes that the Jordanian King’s days are numbered and that should he be his replacement, Jordanian-Israeli relations will dramatically improve: “We believe that this coming year of 2016, possibly around the time of Hanukkah next year, there is going to be a new chapter between Jordan and Israel, where peace, prosperity and love will rule and dominate. At the same time, we would like to tell you that we wish you a happy and safe Hanukkah and that we by any means will not endorse or accept the attacks and the sad situation that has been happening for both the Palestinians and the Israelis. Again, we wish you a happy Hanukkah. Hanakkah samaich!”
