Red alert sirens were heard in several Israeli towns bordering the Gaza Strip on Sunday evening. The IDF said there was no firing of rockets into Israel and that the sirens went off as a result of gunfire in Gaza as part of an expansive Hamas military drill.

Despite the IDF’s announcement, media outlets in Gaza have reported that the IDF launched a counter-strike on Hamas targets.
