A Palestinian suspect was shot and injured by Israeli forces this morning. The suspect, armed with a knife and a wire cutter, was attempting to damage the Gaza security fence when he was detected by IDF soldiers. He received medical treatment before being taken to questioning.
Earlier this week, three separate attempts to breach the fence on the same day were thwarted by IDF forces.
Two Palestinians damaged the security fence and tried to infiltrate Israel in the first incident on Sunday. One of the suspects was killed when IDF soldiers opened fire and the other was detained for questioning.
Later that evening, “two terrorists who infiltrated into Israel hurled explosive devices at IDF soldiers,” said the IDF spokesman. The soldiers returned fire and eliminated both terrorists.
Less than an hour after the second incident, IDF soldiers spotted two Palestinians trying to cross the security border. They were detained and found to be in possession of knives and wire cutters.
