About 500 Palestinians clashed with IDF soldiers in six different locations in the West Bank on Friday. In some of these incidents, the soldiers responded with gunfire. According to reports, a Palestinian was killed and two others were injured.

The riots concentrated in the Nablus area and erupted shortly after the Friday prayers. In the town of Beita, IDF soldiers reportedly fired shots in order to disperse the rioters.

Earlier on Friday, Israeli Border Police troops detained a Palestinian man near the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron. The man was then found to have hidden a knife in his sock.

The man was deemed suspicious by the soldiers upon his arrival at the Jewish holy site. He was asked to go through the metal detector, which kept going off. After frisking him thoroughly, the soldiers found a large kitchen knife in his sock.
