Yesterday (Thursday), IDF Spokesperson Ronen Manelis announced that the West Bank region will be closed off during Yom Kippur.
Manelis added that the crossings into Gaza will also be closed and the entry of workers into settlements in the West Bank and the Jordan Valley will not be possible, except in some cases that have been approved.
According to the statement, based on a security assessment and the instruction of the government leadership, the areas were closed off during the night and will be reopened at midnight between Saturday and Sunday. In case of medical or humanitarian needs, permission will be granted to enter Israel by the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories.
The decision comes after earlier this week, a Palestinian terrorist murdered 3 people at the entrance to the Har Adar settlement.
