Two Gazans who were injured earlier this week in clashes with IDF forces have died of their wounds, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry in the coastal enclave.

20-year-old Mohammad Mazen Elayyan, who was injured near the Palestinian village of Al Burayj, died at Al-Quds Hospital on Saturday. Earlier today, 58-year-old Moin Sai died of his wounds at Shifa Hospital.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, 64 people have died so far as a result of the protests that took place on Monday following the US embassy’s move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Nearly 120 people have died and more than 12,000 have been injured, some still in critical condition, since the beginning of the series of Great March of Return that began on March 30.

Following the violent clashes on Monday, Israel blamed Hamas for the escalation, pointing out that Hamas sent people to the border to protest. The White House also made it clear that Hamas was solely responsible for the deaths.
