Saad Hariri, the Prime Minister of Lebanon, announced his resignation Saturday, saying he senses a conspiracy to assassinate him.
In a televised statement, Hariri said the current climate in Lebanon is similar to that which preceded the assassination of his father, former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
Hariri slammed Iran’s “grip” on the country and said Iran “and its affiliates” in the region will “not prevail.”
