Speaking at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Istanbul on Wednesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Israel’s nuclear war heads are “a danger to the world.”

Rouhani added that his country is willing to cooperate with other Muslim countries in order to protect the rights of the Palestinians. “The Zionists are the foreigners in the Middle East,” he said, “and they’ve planted the seeds of violence in the region.”

“The US is only looking out for the Zionist interests,” he continued. “The announcement (of Jerusalem’s recognition) proves that (US President Donald) Trump has no respect for the Palestinians’ legitimate rights.”
