An Israeli man was stabbed repeatedly in the chest on Monday afternoon in a terror attack. The Israeli was later identified as Itamar Ben-Gal, father of four and resident of the nearby Har Bracha settlement.

Israeli residents of the West Bank shouted chants against the IDF Central Command saying that “they aren’t doing anything” and blamed IDF Central Command chief Roni Numa, who was present during the protests, for the past three attacks that took place in the West Bank over the past two weeks. The protestors and the Numa were removed from the scene.

The Hamas spokesperson stated that the terrorist organization welcomed the attack and that this was in response to US President Donald Trump’s announcement declaring Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The spokesperson further encouraged the Palestinian Authority to stop coordination and cooperation with Israel.

MK Oren Hazan tweeted a video of his remarks to the attack stating that the transfer of funds to the Palestinian Authority that are used for terror attacks and terrorists in prisons must be stopped.

Witnesses reported that Ben-Gal shouted that he had been stabbed prior to collapsing from his wounds. As previously reported by JOL, the terrorist escaped the scene despite having been hit by an IDF soldier with his car to stop him from fleeing.
