The pleasant weather sent hundreds of thousands of Israelis to national parks and nature reserves on Thursday, as Israel celebrates Simchat Torah.
Among the most visited sites were the Caesarea National Park and the Ein Gedi, Ein Afek and Banias nature reserves. Many visited the Palmachim Beach national park as well, where Israel’s Nature and Parks Authority held a sculpting contest and other fun family activities.
Temperatures are expected to drop slightly on Saturday with possible drizzles in the morning hours.
