After four consecutive years of drought, the Sea of Galilee – or Kinneret – is currently at its lowest water level in a decade.

“More water has evaporated from the sea than entered into it,” says Dr. Amir Givati, the head of the surface water department at the Water Authority. “Looking forward, we don’t see any significant winter weather coming our way in the next months.”
