On Thursday, dozens of Palestinians threw stones at a group of Israeli teenagers who were on a bar mitzvah trip in the West Bank. The Israeli boys were hiking from Migdalim to Kida in the Nablus area. A parent who was accompanying the boys opened fire when he felt that their lives were in danger. One of the Palestinians was seriously injured. He was later pounced dead. Three of the Israeli teens suffered minor injuries.
IDF soldiers arrived at the scene and treated the Palestinian. They also dispersed the crowd and removed the Israeli group from the area. The findings from the initial IDF investigation indicate that the gun was fired in self-defense.
