Police investigators arrived in Jerusalem on Sunday to question Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on two probes into corruption allegations against him.
Netanyahu is expected to be confronted with testimonies gathered in recent months in two probes dubbed Case 1,000 and Case 2,000.
The first case revolves around expensive gifts Netanyahu allegedly received from several close acquaintances, including Israeli businessman Arnon Milchan. The second case centers on alleged phone conversations Netanyahu held with Arnon Mozes, the publisher of the Yediot Ahronot daily newspaper.
Last week, Netanyahu released a series of personal photos of his family and Milchan’s, in hopes of legitimizing the exchange of gifts on the grounds of his close friendship with the businessman.
