The Israeli police found an M-16 rifle, pipe bombs and knives during a raid in East Jerusalem on Thursday. These weapons are believed to be connected to a violent conflict between two locals.
The raid was a joint operation of the Border Police and the Israel Police Dog Unit. The weapons were confiscated and two suspects, aged 20 and 15, were arrested.
“As part of our relentless battle against crime, we will continue in our targeted operations to locate and confiscate weapons in order to prevent them from reaching the hands of suspects who could potentially harm citizens and law enforcement officials,” the police said in a statement.
