A stabbing attack occurred in the Old City of Jerusalem. A Palestinian terrorist arrived at Prophets Street near the Damascus Gate this morning and stabbed a 30-year-old Haredi man, who was slightly injured. Security Forces rushed to the area and neutralized the terrorist on site.

At around 9:40am, the Border Police and Police heard cries for help on Prophets Street. The Security Forces progressed to the area and saw the terrorist stabbing the young man. The terrorist then fled. While fleeing, he threw away the knife that was in his hand. The Police then continued their pursuit of the terrorist and in the end, arrested him.

Magen David Adom provided initial medical treatment to the young man and evacuated him in mild condition to Shaare Zedek Hospital within the city: “When we arrived, we saw a young man fully conscious with injuries in the upper body. He told us that he was walking in the street with his family when he was suddenly attacked and injured while struggling with the terrorist. We evacuated him to the hospital in stable and mild condition.”
