After an intensive battle, Israeli windsurfer Shahar Tzuberi ensured his ticket to the Olympic Games for the third time. Female windsurfer Maayan Davidovich and sailors Eyal Levin, Dan Froyliche, Gil Cohen and Nina Amir will be joining him.

Israeli windsurfers Shahar Tzuberi and Maayan Davidovich and 470 sailors Eyal Levin, Dan Froyliche, Gil Cohen and Nina Amir secured their tickets to the 2016 Olympic Games, after they succeeded in the Trofeo Princesa Sofía IBEROSTAR that was held this week in Palma de Mallorca.

After performing passionately throughout the competition, Tzuberi won Israel’s single ticket for a male windsurfer. This will be Tzuberi’s third Olympic Games. Tzuberi was ranked No. 14 in the competition after the ninth and final competition today (Friday), due to the fact that the tenth competition was canceled. Nimrod Mashiah, his rival for the Rio ticket, finished the competition in 25th place.

Davidovich finished today with the ranking of No. 7 in her field. Tomorrow, she will participate in the medals competition.

Female sailors Gil Cohen and Nina Amir ensured their tickets to Rio by finishing today in the top 10 of the competition.

Sailors Eyal Levin and Dan Froyliche, who already secured their tickets to Rio before the competition in Palma de Mallorca, finished the competition today in 25th place.
