Without any other candidates as competition, 70-years-old Arthur Jones, who has made no secret of his anti-Semitic views, is set to be the next elected Republican nominee for Illinois in Congress. Jones has previously headed the American Nazi Party and regularly expressed denial of the Holocaust.

Outspoken 70-years-old Holocaust denier and white supremacist Arthur Jones is poised to become the next Republican nominee for Illinois in Congress. Despite previous failed attempts to become a contender, he is the only GOP candidate on the ballot this year.

Jones has been affiliated with neo-Nazi organizations and does not hide his anti-Semitic views. On his website, in a section titled “The ‘Holocaust’ Racket,” Jones accused Jewish people of being “thirsty criminal vampires,” and detailed various conspiracies concerning the State of Israel and the Jewish people.

In an interview with the Chicago Sun-Times on Sunday, Jones told reporters: “I’m running for Congress not the chancellor of Germany. All right. To me the Holocaust is what I said it is: It’s an international extortion racket.”

Jones, a retired insurance agent, now heads a group called America First Committee whose membership is limited, he said, “to any white American citizen of European, non-Jewish descent.” He was previously head of American Nazi Party and had unsuccessfully run for several offices in the Chicago area since the 1970s. “Given the fact that I’ve got no opposition in the primary, OK, I win that one by default all right,” Jones stressed in his interview with the Chicago Sun-Times.
