On Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi called the recent Arab League statement condemning Tehran and Hezbollah “worthless.” According to Qassemi, the statement serves Israel’s “policy of fanning the flame of regional conflicts,” the ministry’s website stated.

Iran responded Monday to the Arab League’s statement condemning Tehran and Hezbollah. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi called the move “worthless” and said that such statements fail to resolve the crises in the Middle East, according to the ministry’s website.
Qassemi added that the statement leveled “completely false and distorted” accusations against Iran. The ministry’s website added that Qassemi explained that “the statement serves the Zionist regime’s policy of fanning the flame of regional conflicts.”
Yesterday, the Arab League accused Iran of destabilizing the entire Middle East and assisting Shia rebels in the civil war in Yemen. The statement was released at the end of a Cairo summit organized by Saudi Arabia.
