As #MeToo and #TimesUp take Hollywood by storm, actor James Franco is facing sexual misconduct allegations. On Tuesday night, he responded to the claims. “If there’s restitution to be made, I will make it,” he said, adding that he prides himself “on taking responsibility for things that I have done.”

After he was accused of sexual misconduct this week by multiple women on twitter, Golden Globes Best Actor winner James Franco responded to the allegations during on Tuesday night. “If there’s restitution to be made, I will make it,” he said after being asked about the issue on the “Late Show” with Stephen Colbert.
“James Franco just won. Please never ask me why I left the film/TV business,” wrote “the Breakfast Club” star Ally Sheedy on Sunday on her Twitter account. “I have no idea what I did to Ally Sheedy,” Franco said. “I directed her in a play Off Broadway. I had nothing but a great time with her, a total respect for her. I have no idea why she was upset.”
“The others, look, in my life I pride myself on taking responsibility for things that I have done. I have to do that to maintain my wellbeing. I do it whenever I know that there’s something that’s wrong that needs to be changed,” added the actor. “The things that I’ve heard that were on Twitter are not accurate, but I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice, because they didn’t have a voice for so long. I don’t want to shut them down in anyway. I think it’s a good thing and I support it.”
It is not the first time the actor’s name came up in such matters. In 2014, Franco was called out on propositioning a 17-year-old girl on Instagram. Franco said at the time that his actions were are result of “bad judgment.”
