Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said during a televised speech on Tuesday evening that the Shi’ite Iraqi military played a significant role in the battle for Mosul. Nasrallah also commented on the American participation in the battle, claiming that the U.S. only joined the fight in order to “be part of the victory.”
“The victory in Mosul is major,” said Nasrallah. “It’s as clear as the sun that the Obama administration established ISIS and there is proof of this within the American government.” Nasrallah said that a senior White House official confirmed the claim and added that the U.S. is providing ISIS with assistance.
Mosul was liberated by the Iraqi forces after a nine-month battle against ISIS. At the moment, the city is dealing with a serious humanitarian crisis. During the battle, almost 200,000 residents fled the horrors of the terrorist organization. However, they are now discovering that their homes and a lot of the city’s infrastructure were destroyed while they were in the various refugee camps.
