Watch: The horrific moments of the Mandalay Bay shooting
According to Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo, Stephen Paddock placed cameras around himself and documented the massacre as he was shooting from his room on the 32nd-floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel. This is in addition to the cameras he placed in the hall to watch for approaching security forces. The footage revealed the weapons used by Paddock during his rampage.
“This individual was pre-meditated. Obviously pre-meditated, the fact that he had the type of weaponry and the amount of weaponry in that room,” Lombardo told reporters. “It was pre-planned extensively and I’m pretty sure he evaluated everything he did in his actions.”

US news outlets claimed that Paddock transferred large sums of money, apparently to the Philippines, a week before the mass shooting. According to FOX News, this discovery now places the attacker’s girlfriend Marilou Danley in the center of the investigation. It was previously thought that she had no connection to the case.
