The legendary musician has passed away at the age of 66 after suffering a a full cardiac arrest in his home. He was best known as the frontman of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

American rock musician Tom Petty, best known as the frontman of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, has died, US media reported Monday.
Petty was reportedly taken to the UCLA Santa Monica Hospital and put on life support after suffering a full cardiac arrest in his Malibu home.
Aside from his band, Petty was also a member of The Traveling Wilburys, a 1980s supergroup which included renowned musicians such as George Harrison and Roy Orbison.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.
Petty’s last show was performed last week at the Hollywood Bowl, and it concluded the band’s 40th anniversary tour.
