US President Donald Trump has officially announced his intention to run for a second term as president in the 2020 elections. He also announced the appointment of Brad Parscale, the digital director of his 2016 campaign, as campaign manager.
In an unusually early announcement, US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he will run for president again in 2020. He also named Brad Parscale as the manager of his re-election campaign.
The Trump-Pence campaign stated that it will also be involved in the upcoming 2018 midterm elections by “providing candidates with general support, endorsements and rallying the support of the political grassroots by engaging Trump supporters in districts and states.”
Eric Trump, the president’s son, said Parscale, who was the digital director of Trump’s 2016 campaign, is “an amazing talent.” “He has our family’s complete trust and is the perfect person to be at the helm of the campaign,” Eric Trump said.
Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and top adviser, added that Parscale was “essential in bringing a disciplined technology and data-driven approach to how the 2016 campaign was run.”
