Two young Israeli women who were stuck in a battle zone in Ethiopia have been safely rescued by an Israeli team from the insurance company Harel. According to Hadashot news, the two were on their way to volunteer at an orphanage but ended up in the middle of the battle zone where rebel groups are actively fighting one another.

The rescue efforts east of Ethiopia’s capital city lasted four days. The leader of the rescue team told Hadashot that he needed to obtain special permits from the local government to carry out the rescue mission.
