The International Criminal Court in The Hague has dismissed the charges of war crimes allegedly committed by Israel during the 2010 Gaza flotilla raid, in which eight Turkish citizens were killed.
Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda on Thursday stood by her previous decision from 2014 not to move forward with the case, saying it isn’t “serious enough” to warrant an investigation. She added, however, that war crimes may have been committed on the Mavi Marmara ship.
In 2016, Israel and Turkey signed a reconciliation agreement and exchanged ambassadors.
