About two weeks after the film premiered in the country, Lebanon banned the movie Jungle due to its Israeli association. The star of the film, Daniel Radcliffe, identifies as a Jew and plays the role of an Israeli in the film.

The film tells the true story of Yossi Ghinsberg, an Israeli who backpacked through South America and was lost in the Bolivian jungle near the Tuichi River for three weeks. The movie was produced by Dana Lustig, who is an Israeli. The film is to reach Israeli theaters in March.
