During her speech last night (Monday) at the 2017 American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) policy conference, US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley restated her pro-Israel stance and clarified that her country will continue to support Israel. “For anyone who says you can’t get anything done at the UN, they need to know there is a new sheriff in town,” said Haley.
The former South Carolina governor condemned the recent UN resolutions against Israel. “The days of Israel-bashing are over,” she added. “You’re not going to take our number one democratic friend in the Middle East and beat up on them.”
Haley continued: “I wear heels. It’s not for a fashion statement. It’s because if I see something wrong we’re gonna kick ’em every time.”
On Sunday evening, US Vice President Mike Pence spoke at the conference. “After decades of simply talking about it, the president of the United States is giving serious consideration to moving the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem,” Pence said.

As reported by JOL yesterday, a recorded message from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was played at the conference. Netanyahu began his speech by emphasizing the strong bond between Israel and the US, stating that the two countries must ensure that militant Islam is defeated. “We confront the same enemies and we defend the same values,” said Netanyahu. “These are the things that bring Americans and Israelis together and so does the pursuit of peace. Israel’s hand and my hand is extended to all our neighbors in peace.”
