The Trump Administration’s peace plan for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will not include the establishment of a Palestinian state according to a report in The Washington Post.
According to the report the plan promotes the provision of great economic opportunities for the Palestinians and Israeli control in the disputed territories.
Jared Kushner, the son-in-law and special advisor to the president had been tasked nearly two years ago to form the Mideast plan. Kushner has described the plan as based on four core principles: freedom, respect, security and opportunities.
Trump has often been on the record that with his “‘Deal of the Century ” he wants to take a different path than his predecessors for resolving the decades-long dispute.
The peace plan is expected to be presented by the Trump administration in the spring or early summer.
