A senior level Russian military official claimed that they did not find survivors from the plane crash this morning over the Black Sea and that there is no chance of finding survivors in the future. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that there is no suspicion that a terror attack caused the plane crash. Human error and technical failures are being investigated as plausible causes.

A senior level Russian military source reported today that they did not find survivors from the plane crash that JOL reported on this morning. The plane took off from Sochi, Russia and was supposed to land in Latakia, Syria. The crash occurred seconds after take-off over the Black Sea.

The source added that there were in fact 93 passengers on board the plane and that it is unlikely to find survivors in the future. As JOL reported this morning, among the passengers were dozens of musicians, dancers and singers who were supposed to perform for Russian soldiers stationed in Syria during the Christmas holiday.

Meanwhile, Russia has begun to investigate the circumstances of the plane crash. A senior level Russian government source noted that a technical failure and human error are being investigated as plausible causes for the crash. The official noted that at this stage, there is no suspicion that a terror attack caused the plane crash.
