The online travel agency eDreams has compiled its global airport rankings for the year and the Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv was rated as the tenth best airport in the world.
To develop the ranking, eDreams collected about 80,000 reviews from travelers during the past year. The parameters considered are mainly the variety and quality of the restaurants in the airport, shopping stores, airport service and waiting areas.
Ben Gurion airport scored 4.01/5. Last year the airport did not make it to the top 10, although in 2017 it had been considered the eighth best in the world.
The best airport in the world according to the eDreams ranking is the Changi Airport in Singapore, which also ranked 1st last year, followed by the Brisbane Airport in Australia and the Zurich Airport in Switzerland. The top others in the top 10 are the airports in Munich, Istanbul, Stockholm, London, Bangkok and Hamburg.
