The Palestinian Authority (PA) has been paying a compensatory pension to the family of a 17-year-old Palestinian who stabbed to death an Israeli girl in her sleep for three years now, according to a new report by Palestinian Media Watch.
On June 30, 2016, a 17-year-old Palestinian male broke into a home in the Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba and stabbed to death Hallel Yaffa Ariel, a thirteen-year-old Israeli girl while she was asleep in her bedroom. The terrorist was neutralized at the scene.
The practice called “pay for slay” refers to the payment of pensions and salaries to imprisoned or dead terrorists and their families. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has become the great promoter and advocate of this heinous practice.
The total amount of these payments by the Palestinian Authority is $355 million annually.
The multi-million dollar amount allocated by the Palestinian Authority to terrorist pensions has a table of monthly compensations on a case-by-case basis, starting from $374 as the base payment to each family, plus additional bonuses depending on different circumstances.
In a shocking televised statement, released to the non-Arab world thanks to PMW, the terrorist’s mother stated that she was proud of her son for having died as a martyr, defending Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa mosque.
